We'll keep grinding results - Komphela

Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela says his players are committed to keep working hard to produce positive results during their remaining matches this season.

The Glamour Boys have three Premiership games left in the current campaign, against Golden Arrows, Maritzburg United and Ajax Cape Town, while they also have a Nedbank Cup semi-final to look forward to against Free State Stars on 21 April.

Despite being out of contention to win the league in 2017/18, Komphela takes the view there is plenty left to play for. Speaking after Chiefs' 1-0 over Platinum Stars on Sunday, he told SuperSport: "It is not easy to come back from the week we had and I am happy with the result, but we could have done better.

"Roger's (de Sa) teams are always structured and give you problems and compliments must be given to him as well.

"They (Stars) never loosened in the midfield and we had to have an adjustment tactically in the second half, into a more 4-2-3-1 because we had to manage the game as well.

"I thought we could have scored one or two more chances, but I am happy with the result. It will lift the players and that is very important.

"As soon as the emotions are lifted you can go forward a bit easier. The next three fixtures are crucial fixtures. We will look at them and try get points from them.

"It is our responsibility to keep grinding and to keep playing. The greatest growth happens in discomfort."
