Sfaxien look spoil Rangers' party

CS Sfaxien will play host to Enugu Rangers in the CAF Confederation Cup Group B match at the Stade Taïeb Mhiri in Tunisia on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 9:00 pm CAT.

The Juventus of the Arabs began their group stage campaign with an impressive 1-0 win over fellow Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel away earlier this month.

The four-time Confederation Cup winners find themselves placed second on the Group B standings with one match played.

Sfaxien coach Ruud Krol, who won the 2013 Confederation Cup with the Tunisian giants, believes that the young players in his squad will benefit from their recent victory over Sahel.

"We were under a lot of pressure at first, but things got better after the goal," Krol said.

"Our goalkeeper (Ayman Dahmen), he is 22 years old, was brilliant and many other young players will help the team in the future."

Meanwhile, Rangers kicked off their group stage campaign with a convincing 2-0 win over Burkina Faso side Salitas at home earlier this month.

The Nigerian giants, who won the 1977 CAF Cup Winners' Cup, are sitting at the top of Group B standings, but they are only ahead of second-placed Sfaxien on goal-difference.

Rangers goalkeeper Nana Bonsu is confident that they call pull off a surprise by securing a victory in Tunisia.

"It's when we go for away matches that we are going to have big pressure to deal with; we shall do our best to ensure we qualify from the group," Bonsu said on the CAF website.

"We are ready. I'm ready if I'm picked to keep and the most important thing is to help the team to victory. "
