Triple boost for CT City’s hopes

Cape Town City have a triple injury-boost ahead of their Nedbank Cup second round tie against Orlando Pirates at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday.

City have lead striker Matthew Rusike back in contention after he missed the last few weeks with a hamstring problem and the Zimbabwe international could go straight back into the team.

Rusike got the early goal as City defeated BidVest Wits in the first round.

Also set to return is midfielder Thabo Nodada, while there could be a debut for Kenyan striker Masoud Juma, who has sat out with injury since his arrival in January.

The only player not considered through injury is Mpho Matsi, who has yet to play this year after picking up a knee injury in December.

City have yet to beat Pirates, with their three previous encounters ending in two draws and a single win for The Buccaneers.
