Zesco, Forest face off

Champions Zesco United and Forest Rangers will face off in their rescheduled MTN FAZ Super League week two fixture at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Wednesday.

Second place Zesco, who will start the match on 13 points, three behind leaders Green Buffaloes, could go top of the standings on goal difference if they win the match by at least two unanswered goals, while a loss could see them drop to third on goal difference from Power Dynamos.

Victory will extend their unbeaten run in the league to 18 matches, extending from last season, since losing 3-0 at home to Lumwana Radiants on 19 September 2017.

Meanwhile, Forest Rangers will start the match in ninth position with nine points, having recorded back-to-back victories against Napsa Stars and New Monze Swallows.

In this fixture last season, it was Forest Rangers who chalked a 1-0 victory over their more illustrious city rivals while Zesco United won the reverse, the most recent meeting between the two sides in November, via a 2-1 scoreline.

Should they win, Forest Rangers will move up to fifth position, level on 12 points with fourth place Zanaco.

On Sunday, Forest Rangers host Kabwe Warriors while Zesco United will match up against Lumwana Radiants in a double header to be played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
